Cognitive task analysis conducted to understand the demands on the cognitive skills needed during planning a flight, what aspects of flight planning are susceptible to errors, and the cognitive skills required. Researchers interviewed six SMEs including two pilots, three flight instructors, and one general aviation pilot to understand what cognitive skill may degrade over time.
